The former Treasury building and the neighbouring Lands Administration building are separated by the Queens Gardens. Both are examples of late 19th and early 20th century colonial architecture with Victorian and Edwardian sandstone colonnades. Both buildings were listed as important aspects of Queensland’s cultural heritage in 1992.
